DURHAM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Phononic, the company revolutionizing cooling and heating with solid-state technology, today announced the appointment of Ron Tarter, a veteran hardware, supply chain, and contract manufacturing executive as Chief Operating Officer at Phononic.
Tarter joins Phononic after successful engagements at Apple, where he worked in various manufacturing leadership capacities; and Flextronics, where he worked on and led global supply chain and contract manufacturing teams supporting Fortune 500 clients. Tarter was most recently SVP/GM of Flextronics’ United States Operations. During his 20 year tenure at Flextronics he also managed Global operations in India, China, Malaysia, Poland, Sweden, France, Canada and Mexico. Tarter was also the executive in charge of two major business integrations within Flextronics that cumulatively added billions of dollars in sales.
In addition to the COO hire, Phononic has positioned sales executives and is building teams in key market growth areas. Jerilin Kenney has been promoted to VP/GM Life Sciences & Healthcare where her team drives market adoption of Phononic’s solid state vaccine cold storage solutions through direct sales of Evolve refrigerators and OEM partnerships. Mike Demasi, VP/GM Consumer Products, will lead sales and business development efforts driving adoption of Phononic’s technology in consumer and residential markets. Mike Bruno, VP/GM Electronics Cooling, leads sales and business development efforts in fiber optics, telecom and high performance computing; initiatives that now include sales teams in the US, Taiwan and China.
