LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WhereScape, the pioneer and leading provider of data-driven automation software, announced today that Neil Barton, who currently serves as WhereScape’s senior architect focused on big data solutions, has been promoted to chief technology officer (CTO). In his new role, Barton will lead the long-term architecture and technology vision for WhereScape’s industry-leading data automation solutions.
Barton has more than 20 years of experience focused on software architecture, data warehousing and business intelligence including positions at Oracle Australia and Sequent Computer Systems. Barton is also co-inventor of three US patents related to business intelligence software solutions.
“We are excited that Neil has accepted the position of CTO, which represents a natural progression from his role as senior architect where he provided a sharp focus for our big data strategy as well as other product initiatives,” said WhereScape CEO Mark Budzinski. “We are committed to our automation solutions that have successfully expedited the delivery of data warehouse and business intelligence systems for more than 700 organizations worldwide, and are looking to Neil to help us extend our compelling automation value proposition to the exploding worlds of big data, data lakes, advanced analytics and streaming data—to name just a few,” Budzinski said.
“WhereScape is the undisputed leader in developing automation solutions for profiling, developing and managing today’s complex, heterogeneous data ecosystems,” said Barton. “We are leveraging that dozen years of industry expertise to provide organizations with those same capabilities in the emerging worlds of big data and advanced analytics. I look forward to working with our world-class development organization to deliver these innovative solutions to the marketplace in a timely manner.”
