The distinguished awards, inspired by Thomas Edison’s persistence and inventiveness, recognize innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy.

The Energy-Efficient L-Bar, The Pinnacle of Sustainability
The high-performance L-Bar is a T8 LED luminaire delivering superior lumen output of 4250 lumens/142 lumens per Watt. It is so effective that just one L-Bar linear can replace a standard 25 pound 2’x 4’ fluorescent troffer. Weighing in at a mere 19 ounces, the L-Bar is a snap to install and can be mounted directly to the ceiling, making it the ideal solution for new commercial construction or legacy fluorescent lighting replacements.

The Genesis DynaSpectrum Helps Regulate the Circadian Rhythm
The patented Genesis DynaSpectrum (Genesis), part of Lighting Science’s HealthE™ series, is the world’s first commercially-available luminaire to deliver biologically-optimized light for every time of the day – on demand. The Genesis emits a spectrum of light that mimics both daylight (GoodDay®) and twilight (GoodNight™) to help naturally regulate the body’s circadian rhythm.
Lighting Science’s proprietary DynaSpectrum technology was originally developed in collaboration with NASA for use on the International Space Station, where astronauts experience 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours and have issues adjusting their circadian rhythms to the extreme rigors of life in space.
