WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cameron LLP announced today the addition of Brian Wommack as its newest partner and head of a newly launched Strategic Communications practice. Brian joins Cameron from powerhouse public affairs firm Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick, where he served as Senior Vice President/Managing Supervisor and led the D.C. issues and crisis practice.
“Brian is a ‘triple threat’ as a communications strategist, lawyer and lobbyist. In today’s complex and multifaceted environment, he is a unique counselor who helps clients connect the dots and communicate effectively during this time of profound disruption,” said Cameron Managing Partner Thomas E. Skilton. “We expect existing and new clients will benefit from his expertise.”
Cameron Chairman Stephen L. Humphrey added, “The mission of the new practice is simple: to help clients better tell their stories. Whether a client has a proactive need -- such as positioning an organization, articulating a message or promoting a product or service -- or is dealing with a difficult public issue -- or simply needs to do some prudent advance work to be ready for future communications contingencies, wise counsel and meticulous preparation are the keys to success. Providing both will be the new practice’s core offering.”
Prior to Brian’s 17-year tenure with Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick, Brian practiced law, served as a lobbyist and worked in both the judicial and legislative branches of the U.S. government.
