Former BBC Worldwide America Exec Joins Premium Network to Lead Distribution Partnerships

EPIX Expands Executive Operating Team to Drive Growth of the Network

NEW YORK NEW YORK--()--Premium entertainment network EPIX today announced that it has named Sandy Ashendorf Executive Vice President for Content Distribution. Reporting directly to EPIX President and CEO Mark Greenberg and based in New York, Ms. Ashendorf will head the network’s distribution partnerships on all platforms.

Ms. Ashendorf brings over 25 years of media industry experience to EPIX, joining from BBC Worldwide America, where she was Executive Vice President of Distribution responsible for managing all domestic affiliate sales and marketing initiatives for the company’s U.S. assets, resulting in substantial subscriber gains for BBC America and BBC World News. Previously, she spent over seventeen years at Viacom in senior leadership capacities, ultimately becoming EVP Affiliate Sales and Marketing for MTV Networks and managing the sales groups responsible for distribution across satellite, telco and wireless. She has also acted as a consultant to a variety of media companies and began her career as a Corporate Associate with the law firm of Rubin Baum Levin Constant & Friedman.
