LONDON--()--Random42 Scientific Communication are excited to announce that they will be moving to new larger premises in Soho in early December to accommodate their rapid growth.

With growth rates averaging more than 30% each year, Random42 has quickly outgrown their old offices on Haymarket after five years and look forward to continuing their expansion in their new office space. The new office has a fantastic location, situated mid-way along Great Marlborough Street in the heart of Soho, an area which has been traditionally favoured by the creative industries, so Random42 Scientific Communication will fit right in.

Ben Ramsbottom, CEO & Medical Director at Random42 said: “Random42 has gone through a huge amount of growth over the last five years and we are looking forward to moving into a new home that can accommodate the pace of our expansion. It will be great to move back to Soho, our spiritual home, in an office space that is surrounded by some of the most creative companies in the world.”

The new offices are designed to provide an environment that is both inspiring and creative. Inspiration was drawn from various aspects of work and home life. The oak wood flooring and wooden cabinets are designed to give a more homely feel and encourage comfort and positivity. The open-plan space is divided into a series of more intimate rooms using large full-height cabinets. The idea behind these wooden ‘curiosity’ cabinets is that they will be filled with thought-provoking objects designed to provide the Random42 artists with creative inspiration. Each section of space has a specific character that looked to the décor of homes, with a carefully selected palette of warm materials that create an informal, home-like environment.

The creative ideas were guided by Andrew McMullan of Andrew McMullan Architects who said: "We spend more and more of our lives in workplaces than at home. The new office needed to be a place that ensured creativity and higher productivity, and to do this we had to understand the nature of the staff."

The architect’s hope that the new office will help improve communication between colleagues, and that the office will become a ‘home from home’ for all staff.

Artius Interiors also played a huge role in the design of the new office space. Artius Director, Mark Porter commented: “Artius Interiors were thrilled to be engaged by Random42 for the creation of their new offices. It has been a great pleasure to be working with a group of such highly creative people, who have played such an active part in the design process. We have built up a strong track record of working with clients in the animation, film and post production industries, over the last few years and these projects are always a real pleasure for us. The new Random42 offices will be something we can all be very proud of.”

Wire Broadcast played a crucial role in the relocation, assisting in a number of ways, including advising on mechanical and electrical issues, and with over 10km of cables in the new space it was no small job. Wire Broadcast Director, Robin Howell, expressed his ‘pleasure’ in working with Random42 Scientific Communication, ‘particularly as it explored a new business sector for the company’. The relocation is an extremely important move in the right direction for Random42 and they would like to express their thanks to all that played a part.
