DBX ETF Trust Announces Senior Leadership Appointments

Messrs. Gilligan and Klassen elevated to senior roles

NEW YORK--()--Deutsche Asset Management (Deutsche AM) today announced key leadership appointments to DBX ETF Trust, which governs the Deutsche X-trackers Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) franchise in the US. To further align the Trust with fund governance best practices, Steve Byers has been appointed as independent chair of the board of trustees, and he will continue to serve on the Board with Messrs. Elston and Officer. They will be joined by newly-appointed Trustee Michael Gilligan, who currently also serves as Treasurer of the Trust. Additionally, Freddi Klassen has been appointed President of the Trust.

Today’s appointments bolster the breadth and depth of senior leadership perspectives and support the continued growth of the Deutsche X-trackers business in the US. The platform was named “Best ETF Issuer in 2015,”1 just three years after beginning its build-out, in the annual ETF.com Awards.

The appointments will further support the Trust’s ongoing efforts to provide best-in-class service for investors and help manage a diverse and growing Deutsche X-trackers product universe.
