Former Deputy Director of FBI, SANS Analyst and Instructor and Financial Fraud Tech Executive Join to Advise Company on Market Opportunities and Directions

LOS ALTOS, Calif. & RAMAT GAN, Israel--()--LightCyber, a leading provider of Behavioral Attack Detection solutions, today announced the formation of its Advisory Board to bring together industry leaders to advise the company on new market opportunities and technical or market directions. The initial members are:

  • Timothy P. Murphy, former Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and current president of Thomson Reuters Special Services
  • Dave Shackleford, SANS Institute Analyst, Instructor and Curriculum Author as well as Owner and Principal Consultant of Voodoo Security
  • Amir Orad, a serial Chief Executive Officer and Founder in the security, cybercrime and security analytics domains, including Sisense, Actimize, Cyota and Billguard.

Timothy P. Murphy

Timothy P. Murphy is the President of Thomson Reuters Special Services, LLC (TRSS), a U.S. subsidiary of Thomson Reuters, leading the organization in support of services to law enforcement and the intelligence community. Mr. Murphy is a recognized leader in the global law enforcement, intelligence and business communities and brings more than 30 years of public and private sector experience, primarily in the FBI, where he eventually served as Chief Operating Officer and then later, Deputy Director. His responsibilities included all operational aspects of the Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, Criminal, Cyber and Intelligence Programs. He is a member of the Police Executive Research Forum, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), Deputy Co-Chairman of the FBI/DHS Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC), the FBI Agents Association and the FBI National Academy Associates.

Dave Shackleford

Dave Shackleford is the owner and principal consultant of Voodoo Security and a SANS analyst, senior instructor, and course author. He has consulted with hundreds of organizations in the areas of security, regulatory compliance and network architecture and engineering and is a VMware vExpert with extensive experience designing and configuring secure virtualized infrastructures. He has previously worked as Chief Security Officer for Configuresoft, Chief Technology Officer for the Center for Internet Security and as a security architect, analyst and manager for several Fortune 500 companies. Dave is the author of the Sybex book Virtualization Security: Protecting Virtualized Environments, as well as the coauthor of Hands-On Information Security from Course Technology. Recently Dave coauthored the first published course on virtualization security for the SANS Institute. Dave currently serves on the board of directors at the SANS Technology Institute and helps lead the Atlanta chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance.

Amir Orad

Amir Orad is a successful Chief Executive Officer, entrepreneur and an analytics and cyber security thought leader. With focus on building and scaling companies, Amir has led startups to become industry leaders with hundreds of millions in revenue and numerous M&As. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Sisense, a market leader in simplifying Business Analytics for complex data with over a thousand clients using its service in just five years. Prior to Sisense, Orad was the Chief Executive Officer of Actimize, the financial and cybercrime analytics software leader that monitors billions of transactions at the world’s top institutions. Prior to Actimize, Orad was co-founder and Executive Vice President Product of Cyota, a cyber company which was acquired by RSA where he was VP of Marketing.
