Smithers Avanza to Present Two Posters at American College of Toxicology Annual Meeting

GAITHERSBURG, Md.--()--Smithers Avanza, a contract research organization (CRO) supporting the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, announced that two of its leading scientists have been selected to present at a poster session at the 37th Annual Meeting of the American College of Toxicology (ACT), being held November 6-9 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Posters to be presented at the event on Monday, November 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. are:

  • “Developmental Toxicology Validation Program Evaluating the Teratogenic Effects Produced when 6-Aminonicotinamde or Acetylsalicylic Acid are Administered to Pregnant New Zealand White Rabbits or Sprague Dawley Rats, Respectively on Specific Gestation Days,” authored by Caitlin Murphy, PhD, Michael A. Dorato, PhD, DABT, Fellow ATS, and Stephanie Goodnight, of Smithers Avanza, and Stephen B. Harris, PhD, FATS, FRSB of Stephen B. Harris Group.
  • “An Intradermal Toxicity Study of a Therapeutic Nanoparticle Cancer Vaccine in Sprague Dawley Rats,” authored by C. Steven Godin, PhD, DABT, of Smithers Avanza and Solomon Stewart and Steven Fuller of Panacea Pharmaceuticals.

The American College of Toxicology is a professional organization of about 1,000 toxicologists who work in industry, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, government regulatory agencies, or as consultants. ACT’s annual meeting provides a forum for its members to share information through numerous education and networking opportunities.
