In conjunction with Splash, the event marketing platform, guests attending the Finale concert at TechStars FounderCon 2016 will enter using Smart Tone Ticketing instead of QR Codes. This is the first public demonstration of LISNR’s 2-way authentication ultrasonic protocol, announced in early summer on the heels of being named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 list for the second year in a row.
Once an RSVP is confirmed, attendees will be sent their Smart Tone ticket via an email. The actual Smart Tone will live in a web link. Each web link will generate an ultrasonic Smart Tone at the time of use. Smart Tones will then individually generate and broadcast data confirming the attendee to check-in officials. Check-in officials will have a check-in app to decode each unique Smart Tone and check in each attendee as they arrive. This will all happen offline, quickly and securely, without using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or any other forms of connectivity.
“Authentication using LISNR offers significant advantages over other technologies. This debut further establishes LISNR as the most advanced ultrasonic protocol,” says Rodney Williams, CEO and Cofounder at LISNR. “LISNR is pumped to show our guests the innovation and ingenuity that lives in Cincinnati and the newest application of our technology.”
Splash’s event marketing automation software will be the delivery system for the tickets. Splash, the leading field and event technology for brands, is at the forefront of attendee data and marketing insights. As marketing campaigns transition to real life experiences, capturing and understanding attendee engagements through each touch-point, Splash enables brands to deliver personalized and consistent messaging.
“We’re really excited about our partnership with LISNR. This technology offers an advanced, frictionless check-in feature for our clients. As an attendee, you’ll experience a more streamlined and personalized check-in process,” says Head of Creative Strategy Adam Slover. “The Splash platform is constantly evolving, and this partnership deepens our ability to capture the most robust engagement data for our clients.”
