MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Dungarvin Inc. announced the purchase of Companion Care Company (CCC) of the greater Indianapolis area. Effective October 17, 2016 this transaction will significantly expand the size of Dungarvin Indiana operations.
“We are delighted to welcome CCC in to the Dungarvin family,” stated Dungarvin’s President and CEO, Dave Toeniskoetter. “CCC shares a similar mission and philosophy with Dungarvin, providing an array of high-quality services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assimilating CCC into Dungarvin will complement our existing service base nicely.”
CCC provided supports to more than 290 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. With this acquisition, multiple service models transitioned from CCC to Dungarvin, including residential habilitation, community habilitation and integration, respite services, day program services, wellness coordination and transportation services. Dungarvin Inc. is excited to have gained a new service model from CCC with their recreational therapy services. “The acquisition of Companion Care Company materially increases our platform in Indiana and allows us to serve more Hoosiers in need of supports,” stated Bob Longo, COO. “We believe that expanding our services in existing markets positions us well for continued growth.” In addition to the services and supported individuals, CCC had approximately 275 employees, nearly all of whom are continuing on as part of the Dungarvin Indiana team.
