Jo-Ann Promotes Sharyn Hejcl to Executive Vice President, Chief Merchandising Officer

HUDSON, Ohio--()--Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the leading fabric and craft specialty retailer, announces the promotion of Sharyn Hejcl to executive vice president, chief merchandising officer. Hejcl previously served as senior vice president, inventory management and supply chain. She will continue to report to Jill Soltau, president and chief executive officer, Jo-Ann Stores.

“Sharyn brings a strong financial acumen, passion, drive, and a deep and broad retail experience positioning her well to lead our merchandising and private brand teams,” said Soltau. “Sharyn demonstrates a relentless pursuit of excellence and challenges the status quo. For the past year, Hejcl served as the interim head of merchandising in conjunction with her role as senior vice president, inventory management and supply chain. Prior to joining Jo-Ann, Hejcl held roles of increasing responsibility with Big Lots, Sears Holdings, Kirkland Home and Bed, Bath & Beyond. She began her career with May Department Stores.

Hejcl holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lake Erie College.
