REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Famed game developer George Fan, the creator of blockbuster game franchise Plants vs. Zombies (PvZ), today announced the upcoming launch of Octogeddon, an arcade-style, action strategy game slated for release under the label of his new indie game studio, All Yes Good.
The new company is comprised of several former members of the PvZ creative and development team, including lead PvZ artist Rich Werner and PvZ programmer (XBLA) Kurt Pfeifer. All Yes Good has released a teaser trailer of Octogeddon, set for release in early 2017. The announcement coincides with the global celebration of World Octopus Day on Saturday, Oct 8th.
“It’s so much fun to be working with Rich and Kurt again, having the freedom to simply make the best games we can,” said George Fan, founder of All Yes Good. “I truly believe we’ve created something incredible here. So buckle your seatbelts and hold on to your earmuffs because OCTOGEDDON IS COMING!”
Octogeddon: Get Mad. Get Big. Get Even.
Octogeddon is an arcade-style, action strategy game created in the same vein and with much of the same team as the original Plants vs. Zombies. Players become Octogeddon, a giant mutant octopus bent on world destruction, where they grow more tentacles and evolve each of them into deadlier weapons until they become the ultimate eight-legged killing machine! With the same pick-up-and-playability you might expect from the newly assembled All Yes Good team, players of all ages will enjoy humorously annihilating the world one tentacle at a time.
The genesis of Octogeddon began several years back. George Fan entered a 48-hour game dev jam and received tremendous accolades for the prototype version of Octogeddon, a soon to be fully developed, commercial title for Steam.
