PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard Insurance Company ("The Standard”) has promoted Liz Fouts to second vice president and associate counsel for Retirement Plans and Individual Annuities.
In her new role, Fouts will oversee legal and compliance for retirement plans and individual annuities.
Fouts brings more than 15 years of legal experience to her role. Since joining The Standard in 2008, Fouts has held several legal positions, including advising on employment and privacy matters as an attorney in the Corporate Legal Department and working on insurance litigation for the Insurance Services Group Legal Department. Prior to joining The Standard, Fouts was in-house counsel for ALL Student Loan, a non-profit student lender. She began her legal career practicing as a litigator and business attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Fouts earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from California State University Sacramento and a Juris Doctor degree from University of San Francisco School of Law.
