Knotch Announces 2nd Annual Supernormal Awards Honoring the Best in Branded Content

NEW YORK--()--Knotch, the leading, independent provider of real-time intelligence on branded content, announced the call for entries to its annual Knotch Supernormal Awards. Now in its second year, the awards celebrate the very best in branded content across brands, agencies and publishers.

“Supernormal” is a term used to describe something that is so simple that it surpasses the norm, making it truly exemplary. Knotch believes the very best branded content efforts follow this same philosophy: residing within publisher sites or owned media channels, the goal of these campaigns is to feel “beyond native” to the platform and to the consumer experience.

“Branded content is increasingly becoming a core component of brands’ global marketing strategies, yet there are relatively few industry awards that honor excellence in this space,” said Anda Gansca, CEO and Founder of Knotch. “As leaders in the measurement and optimization of branded content campaigns, we wanted to create an opportunity to celebrate the best work in this field – those ‘supernormal’ campaigns that are raising the bar for our entire industry.”

Brands, agencies and publishers are encouraged to submit campaigns for consideration by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 19. A mixed panel comprised of journalists, marketing experts and “supernormal” people – that is, everyday consumers – will vote to determine the winners across six categories based on audience demographic (Teens, Gen Y or Grown Ups) and format (video or non-video).

Winners will be announced and honored at the Knotch Supernormal Awards reception on Wednesday, Sept. 28 during Advertising Week 2016, following a conversation on “What Makes for Supernormal Content” with leading marketers in the branded content space. In addition to bragging rights as a leader in branded content, honorees will go home with the coveted hot-pink Knotch gnome. This is the second year Knotch is honoring the top branded content campaigns of the year. Last year’s winners include Anheuser-Busch InBev, GE, Kohler, Quiznos, Refinery29 and Vice.
