Complete Anatomy for Mac offers all the features and functionality of the existing iPad version, while taking advantage of the greater graphics processing available on Mac to show high resolution textures in vivid detail. The Mac version also takes advantage of the larger screen real estate to display more information and options at once, allowing for quicker navigation through the application.

Complete Anatomy is now the anatomy atlas and platform of choice. The application is being piloted in undergraduate and graduate courses in over 100 top universities worldwide, including Ivy League colleges and 9 of the top 15 medical schools in the world, as measured by QS World University Rankings in 2016.

John Moore, CEO of 3D4Medical said "We have been bowled over by how quickly our new platform is being adopted by the top medical schools in the United States. It is a great validation for the team at 3D4Medical who are excited to be at the forefront of this revolution in medical learning.”

This is the latest in a long list of milestones for Complete Anatomy, including being selected as the Best of 2015 on the App Store, and most recently receiving the coveted Apple Design & Innovation Award 2016, at Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference.

“The response to Complete Anatomy on iPad has been phenomenal, both critically and from our customers. Bringing the application to Mac will enable customers to access their content whether they are at their desk or on-the-go, while also reaching a new audience of users whose medical learning experience can be transformed” Moore added.

Complete Anatomy is transforming medical learning across the globe, with groundbreaking 3D technology allowing for greater exploration and visualisation of the anatomy than ever before, along with revolutionary sharing features. Since launching in November 2015, Complete Anatomy has topped the App Store medical category charts in 105 countries, including the US. Version 2.0 was released in May 2016, adding brand new Lectures content that allows users to access and explore guided lessons from a former Stanford University professor on a variety of anatomical topics using the 3D technology and tools included in the application.

Complete Anatomy for Mac is available now on the Mac App Store, while the iPad version is available on the iOS App Store and is compatible with iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 4, and iPad Pro. New users on both platforms can download and try the Skeleton and Connective Tissues Systems for free, with an in-app purchase granting access to all other content.
