TOLEDO, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hylant, one of the nation's largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, has named Spencer Timmel to the newly created position of Vice President, Cyber & Technology Risk Practice leader.

Spencer speaks regularly on network security and privacy liability topics. He shared his insights with the United States Treasury, American Bar Association, Association for Corporate Growth, Financial Executives International, Risk Insurance Management Society, Healthcare Financial Management Association and the NetDiligence Cyber Risk Liability Forum.
Spencer received his bachelor’s degree in business-finance from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and his master’s in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was named to Business Insurance’s list of top 40 under 40 brokers in 2015. He also holds the Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP) and Certified International Privacy Manager (CIPM) designations, both of which are recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
