Altice USA Appoints Lisa Rosenblum Vice Chairman, Names David Connolly Executive Vice President and General Counsel

NEW YORK--()--Altice USA, a subsidiary of Altice N.V. (Euronext: ATC, ATCB) and a leading national telecommunications, media and entertainment company, today announces two new leadership appointments, effective immediately. Lisa Rosenblum becomes Vice Chairman of Altice USA and David Connolly, formerly a partner at Shearman & Sterling LLP, becomes Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Altice USA. Ms. Rosenblum will report to Dexter Goei, Altice USA Chairman and CEO, and Mr. Connolly will report to Charles Stewart, Altice USA Co-President and CFO.

Ms. Rosenblum previously held the position of Executive Vice President and General Counsel of the company. In her new role as Vice Chairman, she will work closely with the CEO and the executive leadership team on key corporate initiatives, focusing on establishing Altice’s presence with government, in the marketplace, and the communities the company serves. Additionally, she will help to shape the corporate strategy on all legislative, regulatory and public policy activities and related business developments.

Mr. Connolly will assume the role of Executive Vice President and General Counsel, where he will direct all U.S. legal affairs at Altice USA. Previously, Mr. Connolly was a partner in Shearman & Sterling LLP, the law firm that represented Altice in its acquisition of Cablevision Systems Corporation. He served as an advisor to Altice for the transaction.

Lisa Rosenblum
Most recently, Ms. Rosenblum served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, with responsibility for all legal, government relations, and public and community affairs for Altice USA. She joined Cablevision in 1996, and prior to the company’s acquisition by Altice, she held the position of Executive Vice President, Government and Public Affairs, where she was responsible for directing the company’s local, state and federal government relations, as well as all legislative, regulatory and policy matters. Ms. Rosenblum played a major role in the regulatory process related to the acquisition of Cablevision by Altice. She also, prior to the spin-offs of Madison Square Garden and AMC Networks, directed all government affairs for the two companies.

Prior to joining Cablevision, Ms. Rosenblum served as Commissioner and Deputy Chair of the New York Public Service Commission (NY PSC), focusing on telecommunications and competitive policies and served as Chair of the Communications Committee of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC). In this capacity, she represented the interests of state commissioners before Congress and the FCC, and led the states’ efforts on the Telecommunications Act in 1996.

Appointed by the Federal Communications Commission Chairman, Ms. Rosenblum served as First Chair and a member of the Board of Directors of the Universal Service Administrative Company, which supports the deployment of telecommunications services across the nation. She also served two terms as Chair of the Cable Telecommunications Association of New York.

Prior to the NY PSC, Ms. Rosenblum was assistant counsel to former New York State Governor Hugh L. Carey, responsible for coordinating the legislative agendas of several organizations, including the NY PSC, New York Power Authority, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. On graduation from law school, Ms. Rosenblum clerked for Judge T.F. Gilroy Daly of the U.S. District Court in Connecticut, and following her clerkship, she joined the law firm of Webster and Sheffield in New York City.

Ms. Rosenblum has been consistently named one of CableFAX Magazine’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable,” and in 2014 was recognized by Multichannel News and Women in Cable Telecommunications as a “Wonder Woman.” In 2000, she was honored by the NCAA with its Silver Anniversary Award in recognition of her athletic achievement as captain and number one player of the women’s varsity tennis team at Yale University. Additionally, Yale annually honors the tennis team’s most valued player with the “Lisa Rosenblum Award.”

Ms. Rosenblum currently serves on the Board of Directors of Citymeals-on-Wheels in New York City, a non-profit organization devoted to serving the elderly.

Ms. Rosenblum holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from the Connecticut School of Law, where she served as an editor of the Law Review.

David Connolly
Mr. Connolly spent the past 14 years of his career at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York, where he was a partner in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions group. In this role, he represented multinational corporations, financial institutions, and professional sports franchises and their owners in a wide range of matters, including acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, solicited and unsolicited transactions, takeover defense strategies, joint ventures, financings and corporate governance matters. Mr. Connolly also was an active member of Shearman & Sterling’s widely respected and award-winning pro bono program, where he advised clients focused on education and public health.

Mr. Connolly was named a “rising star” by International Financial Law Review in 2015 and he has been recognized by Legal 500 for his work in sports franchise mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Connolly also was named one of the “Top 40 Under 40” mergers and acquisitions professionals by M&A Advisor in 2011. In addition, he has published numerous articles and spoken at many industry conferences.

Mr. Connolly holds a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
