CAPG Names New VP of Business Development

Dr. Cassidy Tsay Brings Clinical Background and Strong Business Sector Credentials to Physician Group Association

LOS ANGELES--()--CAPG, the leading U.S. professional association representing accountable physician organizations, today announced the appointment of Dr. Cassidy Tsay as vice president of business development.

“We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Tsay,” said Don Crane, CAPG’s President and CEO. “She comes to us with a very strong background that includes stints as Regional Medical Director at Blue Shield California and Medical Director at Nautilus Healthcare Management. Dr. Tsay is a great asset for CAPG, and we look forward to a stronger team with her on board.”

Dr. Tsay, who earned a medical degree from Albert Einstein Medical College in New York as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Irvine, will oversee recruiting of new physician organization members that are working in or moving toward value-based payment models.

Dr. Tsay’s professional background makes her ideally suited for this role. Most recently, she worked at Blue Shield of California, serving as Regional Medical Director. Prior to that, she spent four years with Nautilus Healthcare Management Group, working as medical director for Greater Newport Physicians and managing more than 170 primary care providers and 400 specialists.

Dr. Tsay’s clinical experience includes seven years as an office- and hospital-based physician with Kaiser Permanente as well as three years of practice with Bristol Park Medical Group, Inc.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to join CAPG at this critical time in the healthcare profession,” Dr. Tsay said. “Don Crane and the CAPG staff are making great strides in improving the quality and cost-effectiveness of American healthcare and I’m gratified to become part of the team.”
