SailPoint Delivers Strongest First Half in the Company’s History, Adding 100 New Enterprise Customers

Company posts nearly 30% revenue growth and its 11th consecutive quarter of profitability

AUSTIN, Texas--()--SailPoint, the leader in identity and access management (IAM), recently closed the first half of 2016 with a nearly 30 percent YoY revenue growth, while sustaining its track record of profitability for the 11th consecutive quarter. This marks the company’s strongest first half performance, spanning growth and profitability benchmarks, capped by adding 100 new customers. To scale and meet the needs of enterprises all over the world, SailPoint also grew its employee headcount by 28 percent and its partner ecosystem by 33 percent in the first six months of 2016.

“We went into 2016 with a solid foundation, having just launched the industry’s first open identity management platform in December and introducing the Identity+ Alliance. Combined with the delivery of SecurityIQ, which pulled data access governance into IAM, this set us up for a strong first half of the year,” said Mark McClain, CEO and founder of SailPoint. “As we move into the second half, we expect to see our profitable growth trajectory continue as more enterprises embrace the value of putting identity at the core of their IT and security infrastructure.”

SailPoint’s Leadership Continues to be Recognized in 2016

The company considerably extended its market leadership and position as a “company to watch” in the first half of 2016 with industry recognition including:

Strong Customer Growth Fuels First Half Momentum

SailPoint now has over 650 customers globally, including: five of the world’s largest banks, two of the top Ivy League schools in the country, six of the top leading healthcare organizations in the world, and four of the world’s leading energy companies. In addition to the largest organizations in virtually every industry, enterprises with complex, hybrid IT environments like Adobe, Canadian Back Institute, Columbia Bank, Duke Energy, Equifax, ING Direct, Molina Healthcare, Nelnet, OCC, Orrstown Bank, Societe Generale, Southern Connecticut State University, Spirit Aerosystems, ThinkFinance, University of Utah, Virginia Hospital Center, Weight Watchers, and Yale-New Haven Hospital are leveraging SailPoint’s open IAM platform as the foundation for their identity governance and administration programs.

“When considering an identity and access management solution, protection of our data was our top priority, but we also needed a solution that could be deployed rapidly, was easy to use for our business users spread across nearly 30 locations, and had a quick time to value,” said Andrew Linn, SVP and CISO for Orrstown Bank. “Having a complete identity and access solution in the cloud that leverages SailPoint’s governance foundation has given us the visibility we need to see who has access, to modify that access at any time and to manage compliance requirements better than ever before.”

“With SailPoint, we’re no longer hindered by manual processes for access and provisioning of users. But perhaps the best outcome thus far is that we’ve eliminated some in-house development on customized pieces of software,” said Sudhakar Gummadi, VP of IT Security for Molina Healthcare, Inc. “This has freed resources to work on other portions of the organization’s needs and has empowered the business – and the organization as a whole – to work more efficiently.”

“SailPoint pioneered identity governance, and in 2016, every third-party report published on identity governance names us the market leader,” said Kevin Cunningham, President and co-founder of SailPoint. “Our cloud identity governance solution, IdentityNow, is seeing incredible traction as it combines our IAM expertise with the evolving needs of enterprises for cloud-based solutions. We’re poised to rapidly continue expanding this side of the business and provide every CIO the necessary governance foundation for tomorrow’s challenges.”
