On June 14, Congressman Mike Kelly (R-PA) and Congressman Richard Neal (D-MA) introduced H.R. 5841, which would create and test new “patient care networks” (PCNs). The new PCNs represent the next potential step in the evolution of the accountable care organization (ACO), moving away from its current reliance on flawed fee-for-service payment models and toward advanced methods of payment in traditional Medicare.
