LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shine Technologies, the company dedicated to helping consumers protect themselves from negative advertising practices, is today announcing that James Collier has joined as Chief Revenue Officer.
Collier is tasked with working with the ad industry to evolve the current online advertising experience to one that puts consumer consent and choice at the center, whilst providing a cleaner and more valuable environment for brands, publishers and app developers.
Shine CEO and co-founder Ron Porat said: "James comes to Shine as an advertising & technology sector veteran, with the ideal background and experience to help Shine evolve online advertising for the better. I’m positive James will prove incredibly effective as we launch the next phase of Shine."
Most recently, Collier was Managing Director EMEA at AdTruth (sold to Experian). Before that he held various commercial roles at YuMe, Badoo, Google and News Corp.
Collier has also been a member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) UK Mobile Council, the IAB Europe Policy Committee, and the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) UK and has written extensively on the subject of consumer privacy and consent in advertising.
Collier said: "I'm extremely excited to be joining Shine to help build a framework and technology that creates a transparent value exchange between advertisers, publishers and consumers. As an industry we need to work together to deal with some of the most pressing issues in our marketplace, namely fraud and bad advertising practices that hamper both the publishers ability to generate revenue, and brands from being able to attribute the right level of investment in mobile."
