Mark Hoglund Appointed Griffin Structures Chief Operating Officer

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Griffin Structures is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Hoglund as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Hoglund has served the company since 1986 in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer and has been instrumental in the company’s significant growth and expansion. He will be responsible for managing and directing Griffin’s continued growth, working with President Roger Torriero and the senior leadership team to plan and execute the company's short, medium and long-term goals and objectives.

Mr. Hoglund’s responsibilities will include organizational planning to accommodate Griffin’s growth, while striving to deliver the high level of professional client service that has made Griffin Structures an industry leader for more than three decades.

Griffin Structures, a program and construction management firm serving public, nonprofit and private sector clients, has seen tremendous growth over the past decade, expanding its portfolio of business throughout California. The company recently added an office in Santa Clara to serve its northern California clients and is now actively managing approximately 50 projects on behalf of its clients.

Mr. Hoglund will continue his Chief Financial Officer role, advising and overseeing key functions such as treasury, regulatory, risk management, legal and tax compliance.

Mr. Hoglund holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Public Policy Fellow, and a B.S. from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Hoglund began his career at Lincoln Property Company and held positions with Arthur Andersen and Lockheed Martin IMS. In addition to his early private sector experience, Mr. Hoglund served in a variety of senior public sector management positions including Chief of Staff at the United States Interstate Commerce Commission (as a Presidential appointee), Chief Deputy Director of the California Department of General Services, Deputy Secretary for the California State and Consumer Services Agency (now California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency), Advisor to the California State Treasurer, and Chief of Staff to the Mayor of San Diego.
