Blue Ridge Named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s SDCE 100 Top Supply Chain Projects for 2016

Recognized for increasing inventory turns and improving working capital at major food service distribution company

ATLANTA--()--Blue Ridge, a global leader in cloud demand forecasting, planning, replenishment, allocation and analytics, today announced it has been named as a recipient of an SDCE 100 Award for 2016 from Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Recognized for the fourth consecutive year, the 2016 award highlights how Blue Ridge technology enabled Merchants Foodservice to improve inventory turns by 16.4% and substantially decrease aged inventory with no erosion to Merchants’ exceptional customer service level, which led to major improvements in working capital.

Blue Ridge’s inclusion in the SDCE 100 list is another honor for bringing break-through demand forecasting and planning capabilities to the market. "Merchants is the perfect example of a forward-looking company transforming their performance to make supply chain planning a competitive advantage for the organization," stated Greg White, CEO of Blue Ridge. "We are honored to work with Merchants Foodservice and to have this customer project included in Supply & Demand Chain Executive Top 100."

The SDCE 100 is an annual list of 100 great supply chain projects. These projects can serve as a guide for supply chain executives who are looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. These projects show how supply chain solution and service providers help their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence and prepare their supply chains for success.

“Our goal with 2016’s SDCE 100 is to shine the spotlight on successful and innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to small, medium and large enterprises across the supply chain,” says Ronnie Garrett, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “The selected projects can serve as a roadmap for supply chain executives looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations.”

All 100 recipients are featured in the cover story of the June 2016 issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive, as well as online at www.SDCExec.com.
