MADISON, Wis.--()--Families in Georgia will have something new to howl about in 2018. Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., North America’s largest family of indoor water park resorts, announced today it is expanding its paw print to the Peach State.

Great Wolf Lodge Georgia will be a first-class destination resort, providing families with nearly 500,000 square feet of entertainment offerings and lodging amenities to enjoy, all under one roof. The centerpiece of the resort will be more than 93,000 square feet of indoor water park fun. With signature Great Wolf Lodge water rides and attractions, including Fort Mackenzie®, a multi-level interactive water fort treehouse with a massive tipping water bucket; high thrill water slides; a relaxing lazy river; huge wave pool and several zero depth entry pools and kid water play areas, the new resort will feature water fun for everyone.

"We look forward to bringing the Great Wolf Lodge brand to Georgia,” said Rubén Rodríguez, chief executive officer, Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., “As the leader in indoor water park resorts, we provide unique, year-round family getaways each and every day. Great Wolf Lodge Georgia will feature many of the amenities and activities our guests know and love, as well as several new experiences exclusive to this resort. As our company continues to expand, we could not think of a more perfect place than the location we found in LaGrange and we look forward to opening our doors to guests in just two short years.”

The resort is the result of great collaboration and partnership Great Wolf Resorts entered with the state of Georgia and the City of LaGrange. Governor Nathan Deal echoed Rodríguez’s statement, “We are excited that Great Wolf Lodge has chosen LaGrange to build their newest resort. Creating more than 600 jobs and investing more than $150 million, the economic impact from the Great Wolf Lodge Georgia operation will be felt immediately, and we anticipate additional investment in the region as operations ramp up. This project is a result of strong partnership between local and state leaders that will benefit the local community.”

Great Wolf Lodge Georgia will be a complete destination, appealing to families looking for a nearby staycation option as well as traveling families planning vacations from out of state. The 456 guest suites will provide the perfect place to relax after a full day of water park play. Each suite will comfortably accommodate at least five people and include an in-room refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Families can choose from several suite styles, including the kid-focused Wolf Den and KidCabin® suites, complete with bunk beds and theming featuring the Great Wolf Kids characters. Larger families will also be able to choose from several suites styles that sleep up to eight people and feature additional bedrooms and bathrooms, so everyone can stay together in one place.

Beyond the thrills of the water park, Great Wolf Lodge Georgia will feature dozens of entertainment options under its massive roof. Families will delight at the wide variety of activities found throughout the entire resort, perfect for children of all ages.
