Spineology Introduces an Expandable to Its Line of Interbody Devices

Elite™ Expandable Interbody Fusion System offers minimum starting heights and maximum bone grafting capabilities

MINNEAPOLIS & ST. PAUL, Minn.--()--Spineology Inc. continues its focus on anatomy-conserving surgery™ with release of the Elite Expandable Interbody Fusion System.

The Elite Expandable Interbody Fusion System is designed to be implanted at a minimal height and expanded after final positioning in the disc space. This enables the surgeon to minimize neural retraction and potentially restore anatomical alignment of the spine.

“Elite is an excellent addition to Spineology’s Interbody product offering,” said John Booth, CEO of Spineology. “The expansion capabilities of the Elite design align well with our anatomy-conserving philosophy and the system provides an exceptional option for surgeons converting to the next generation of interbody technology.”

Dr. Mark Grubb of Cleveland, OH implanted the first Elite Expandable Interbody implant. “The distraction capabilities of the Elite device are exceptional and large graft windows maximize the potential for bone through-growth,” said Dr. Grubb.

Dr. John Sherman of Minneapolis, MN adds, “Implant sizing, insertion, and expansion are well designed with the Elite Expandable Interbody System. Delivering the Implant at the smallest possible starting height eases insertion and allows the preservation of patient anatomy.”
