CHELMSFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kronos Incorporated:
What: |
David Almeda, chief people officer of Kronos Incorporated, will kick-off day two of next week’s Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference & Exposition in Washington, D.C. with a Mega Session: How Workplace Culture Can Drive Business Results.
This hour-long speaking session – with additional time allotted for questions and answers – will help SHRM attendees understand how to purposefully design a workplace culture that drives employee engagement and, in turn, positively impacts an organization’s bottom line. Almeda provides this blueprint for how to design and implement a workplace culture to drive business results in his chapter of the latest anthology from The Workforce Institute at Kronos, It’s All About Bob(bie) – Strategies for Winning with Your Employees. Almeda will be available for a book signing immediately following his Mega Session at the SHRM Bookstore, located in the East Salons of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
Fellow Workforce Institute board members Sharlyn Lauby and Dan Schawbel will also present at the SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition. Lauby will lead two sessions, Social Solutions for HR: Social Media Strategies to Help Achieve Your HR and Business Goals and Management Onboarding: Setting New Leaders Up for Success, while Schawbel will lead the Mega Session The LeaderShift: How to Engage and Develop the Next Generation of Leaders. |

Why: |
Workplace culture is sometimes viewed as an intangible aspect of an organization, set apart from tangibles such as sales, revenue, and profitability. But the truth is that corporate culture is a critical component of any successful organization and has a direct impact on employee engagement and the bottom line. Almeda’s session will provide case study examples and concrete steps that will help SHRM attendees evaluate their workplace culture; design a successful culture through five key steps; execute on building or changing a culture to match their vision; utilize tools to achieve optimal success in creating a culture; and calibrate workplace culture over time to remain relevant and competitive.
