Isaac Bindert Awarded Scholarship for Commitment to Community Service and Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.--()--ReliaMax®, the leading financial technology-based and complete private student lending solutions provider, is excited to award Isaac Bindert of Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls the Inaugural Mark Bielen Scholarship in partnership with the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation. The scholarship is awarded to a South Dakota resident student who has shown a commitment to community service and has excelled in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Mark Bielen was Executive Director of Research and Development for ReliaMax and passed away on October 8, 2015. This scholarship, established in conjunction with Cathy Bielen, Mark’s wife and widow, will continue his legacy as a serial entrepreneur and artist who was as committed to the community he lived in as he was to helping students achieve their dreams.

“ReliaMax is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with and giving back to the communities in which we live and work. In Mark’s memory, we are honored to award this year’s scholarship to Isaac who embodies the award through his commitment to his community and academic pursuits,” shared Michael VanErdewyk, CEO of ReliaMax. “We look forward to seeing Isaac continue to excel academically and as a member of the community.”

Bindert will be attending Washington University in St. Louis in the fall and plans to major in chemistry. He will use the scholarship as part of his tuition. “I am honored to be awarded the Mark Bielen Scholarship and am thankful to ReliaMax for this recognition. I am very excited for the opportunities that college allows to really explore your interests and passions and the Mark Bielen Scholarship will help me do that,” said Bindert.
