PHILADELPHIA--()--Nineties breakout band, the Gin Blossoms, will perform this summer at the SugarHouse Casino Event Center on Friday, Aug. 12, at 9 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 3, for $35.

The Gin Blossoms, with hit songs “Hey Jealousy,” “Follow You Down,” “Found Out About You” and many others, helped shape what fans know as nineties radio. The band was first signed in 1991 sporting a jangle-pop sound, which is a combination of rock and pop, during the era of hair bands and grunge music. The Gin Blossoms quickly earned a multi-platinum record for “New Miserable Experience,” as well as a Grammy Award nomination for “As Long as It Matters.”

“The Gin Blossoms are going to amp up the Event Center and put on a show the audience won’t forget,” said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. “We are so excited to fill the place with energy and take a trip back to the nineties.”

The band’s most recent album, “No Chocolate Cake,” debuted in 2010 and reached No.1 on Amazon. The Gin Blossoms will perform all their hits and offer a sampling of new material for an upcoming album that will be recorded in October.

Tickets for the Gin Blossoms show can be purchased online at www.sugarhousecasino.com starting Friday, June 3, at 10 a.m. The cost is $35.

In addition to live performances and concerts, the SugarHouse Casino Event Center can be reserved for a variety of other occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Delaware River waterfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Parking is always free.

The Event Center is part of SugarHouse’s 2016 expansion rollout, with an expanded gaming floor and seven new food and beverage outlets, including Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House by Gibsons Restaurant Group, the casino’s high-end steakhouse.
