IDC Innovators for the 2016 Enterprise Platforms for Smart Eyewear Announced

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--()--International Data Corporation (IDC) has published its 2016 IDC Innovators report recognizing pioneering players in the enterprise platforms for smart eyewear market. IDC Innovators are companies with under $50 million in revenue that offer an inventive technology and/or groundbreaking new business model.

APX labs, Atheer, Pristine, Vital Enterprises, and XOEye were all named as IDC Innovators in enterprise platforms for smart eyewear for 2016.

"The IDC Innovators named in this report are all addressing the challenges of providing a robust, integrated, scalable, and flexible enterprise platform for smart eyewear," said Ramon Llamas, research manager, Wearables and Mobile Phones. "While all of them are addressing the same problem of connecting workers through smart eyewear, you will find different approaches in terms of which audiences they are targeting, time to deployment, and availability of features and functionalities."

APX Labs has helped pioneer the market for enterprise platforms for smart eyewear, connecting industrial blue collar workers with each other and with critical information to complete tasks. Atheer designs enterprise platforms for smart eyewear for fixing, assembly, survey, and treat (FAST) workers. Pristine's EyeSight platform connects workers and managers to share information in real time over a pair of smart glasses. Vital Enterprises is in the enterprise platform for smart eyewear space because its Vital Enterprise platform connects remote workers and experts by leveraging smart eyewear. XOEye Technologies has developed an enterprise platform for smart eyewear devices, which takes visual intelligence and brings it to industrial workers (facilities and field services).

IDC Innovators: Enterprise Platforms for Smart Eyewear 2016 (Doc #US41145816) profiles select companies in the workplace application messaging market with an innovative technology or a groundbreaking new business model or both. The IDC Innovators research document examines companies with revenue of less than $50 million with a product, service or business model with a specific use case.
