AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Talligent, the leading provider of billing and capacity management solutions for OpenStack and hybrid clouds, has released Unlocked certified Fuel Plugins for Mirantis OpenStack 6.1 and 7.0, with Mirantis OpenStack 8 expected soon. Openbook is cloud management software that simplifies the tasks of planning, charging, and predicting capacity requirements for cloud services on OpenStack. Talligent gives the administrator and tenant real-time visibility of cloud capacity and accrued costs, as well as the ability to scale up or down according to budget and resource requirements.
Talligent is excited to be the first reporting solution to achieve Mirantis Unlocked certification and be packaged for easy deployment as a Fuel Plugin. Mirantis Unlocked means that a solution has been tested by Mirantis, confirmed to work with Mirantis OpenStack, and offered to customers with validated deployment tooling through Fuel. Fuel is an open source deployment and management tool for OpenStack, recently accepted as an OpenStack project.
“The Fuel plugin really makes deploying Openbook a snap in OpenStack environments,” said Sanjay Mishra, CEO of Talligent. “By working closely with Mirantis, we ensure compatibility with Mirantis OpenStack releases and support their customers’ needs for actionable reporting regarding the cost and capacity of cloud resources.”
Openbook v3 is Talligent’s latest release and is available for evaluation upon request. The Openbook Fuel plugin packages and documentation can be found online:

"Openbook from Talligent is the first cost-reporting solution to validate under the Unlocked program, and fills an operations gap for OpenStack cloud deployments. It complements other forms of metrics in managing cloud operations and costs, internally and in customer-facing ways," said Kamesh Pemmaraju, VP of Product Marketing at Mirantis. "We're excited that Talligent is a Mirantis Unlocked partner and that they're taking advantage of Fuel to make Openbook deployment and integration simple and reliable."
