SunLink PowerCare Solar Services Division Marks First Year With New Wins

Since SunLink Corporation introduced its PowerCare solar project services division one year ago, the team has delivered multiple MWs of solar installation, O&M and geotechnical services. The SunLink PowerCare products+services offering has been particularly appealing to installers and EPCs looking to grow market share in the underserved mid-sized 1 to 10 MW sector. By integrating the design, delivery and installation of the racking system through a provider with full design and installation capabilities, the resulting efficiencies pull in schedules and lower costs. SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--()--Since SunLink Corporation introduced its PowerCare solar project services division one year ago, the team has delivered multiple MWs of solar installation, O&M and geotechnical services. Highlights from PowerCare’s installation arm include Iowa’s largest community solar project, a fixed-tilt project for a leading cable television provider in North Carolina and a multi-MW portfolio of tracker and fixed tilt projects in California’s Central Valley. Additionally, PowerCare has performed geotechnical testing on over 40 projects, or 130 MWs, across the U.S. and is responsible for O&M for Arizona State University’s solar installations.

“The demand for our PowerCare services over the past year has demonstrated how effectively SunLink can partner with our customers to extend their ability to take on more projects,” explains SunLink Field Services Senior Manager Keith Beisner, who heads up the PowerCare team. “We leverage our expertise with SunLink’s mounting solutions as it relates to site conditions, construction and performance to provide a full-scope products+services package for our partners that helps them be more successful.”

Working closely with Renewable Electric Integration, for example, SunLink is installing its TechTrack solution at a site located in Tulare County, California. SunLink services are playing a key role from engineering design through construction. The SunLink team performed geotechnical investigation with pull testing and is currently handling all aspects of mechanical and tracker-specific installation -- including foundations, modules and the electrical components that control the tracker.

“Sunlink’s PowerCare team is exactly as advertised. They have the “Power” to deliver as promised and the “Care” to get it done right. We made the right choice to let them handle the racking installation turnkey. One less item on our plate and freedom to focus on what we do best. Couldn't ask for anything more. That to me is what a partnership is all about,” said Mark Luft of Renewable Electric Integration. “The TechTrack’s simple and efficient design gives me confidence, knowing that my customer will get the yield that he expects, year after year. I wish everything in this business could be this easy!”

This in turn allows project developers and EPCs to successfully deliver a larger number of mid-size projects and to deliver them more rapidly.
