JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grant Thornton LLP has opened a new office in the Bank of America Tower at 50 North Laura Street in Jacksonville, Florida.
Grant Thornton employees began work in the new office on Monday. Prior to the office opening, the firm leased temporary office space within the Bank of America Tower.
“Expanding our presence in Jacksonville allows us to better serve our current and prospective growth-oriented clients in the area while utilizing Grant Thornton’s national and international resources,” said Julie Lamey, partner-in-charge of Grant Thornton’s Jacksonville office. “Our new space will enhance employee collaboration and innovation, and we're looking forward to further expanding our presence in the Jacksonville community.”
“This new office marks the latest milestone and reinforces Grant Thornton’s commitment to the continued growth of our Florida practice,” said Doug Gawrych, Grant Thornton’s Florida market territory managing partner. “Our Jacksonville office houses a wide array of resources that include audit, tax and advisory services personnel. Our strategy includes better allocation of our people throughout the market territory, and we see it being strategically important to serving our clients in Florida.”
The new space was designed with a focus on better space utilization — incorporating a more open, efficient layout with additional collaboration rooms and increased multi-purpose space.
All workspaces have access to natural light as well as modern conference and team rooms, which include the most current AV and video conferencing capabilities.
Grant Thornton employs approximately 20 professionals in audit, tax and advisory services in the Jacksonville area. The firm expects to nearly double its professional staff in Jacksonville in the next year. The firm operates additional Florida offices in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Tallahassee and Tampa.
