GOGUARDIAN ANNOUNCES CHROMEBOOK MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

GoGuardian, creator of award-winning digital learning software, announces the upcoming launch of GoGuardian Fleet, a new product allowing educators to more easily manage large numbers of Chromebooks.

As schools nationwide move toward 1:1 programs—named for their mission to give each student his or her own device for schoolwork—Chromebooks have become the technology of choice. Unlike other devices, Chromebooks were designed to be managed from the cloud across entire school districts, and represent well over half of all sales in K-12 schools.

Design

GoGuardian Fleet complements the existing Google management features while helping to replace, reduce, and support the additional tools and processes educators use to manage the daily logistics of their Chromebook fleets. GoGuardian Fleet simplifies common tasks for administrators by syncing with the Google Admin Console, making it easier to assign thousands of devices to students or classrooms, locate misplaced Chromebooks, assign short-term replacements for lost or damaged devices, track repairs, and much more.

“GoGuardian believes that technological literacy is crucial to a student’s success, both inside and outside the classroom. With personal devices in education quickly becoming the norm, it is important that they can be integrated seamlessly into schools. Chromebooks have greatly accelerated this process, as the Chrome operating system and Google’s management solutions take the hassle out of device management, but there are many day-to-day tasks that still occupy a great deal of administrators’ time,” said Cody Rice, GoGuardian Fleet Product Manager. “GoGuardian Fleet makes managing large numbers of Chromebooks even easier, allowing educators to spend less time addressing logistics and more time focused on providing students and teachers with the best educational resources available,” continued Rice

Availability

School district administrators can request early access to GoGuardian Fleet online, and will be notified by email if their school or district is accepted. The product is currently scheduled to be available to the public in June 2016.
