SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--LeEco, a leading global technology company, made a series of major announcements today at its cross-category product launch at the LeSports Center in Beijing. This event gave more than 10 million people around the world – including an audience reach of more than 2.3 million through Facebook Live, cementing LeEco’s position as the first company to use the API for a large-scale launch – a peek at the stunning and disruptively priced second-generation smartphones, an all-new 4th-generation SuperTV, the LeEco VR headset, and its autonomous LeSEE electric vehicle (EV) concept car.

“By launching four different products in four distinct categories, we are breaking boundaries, reconstructing business rules, and redefining global innovation,” said LeEco founder and CEO Yueting Jia. “At LeEco, we are realizing our vision of one ecosystem to provide a seamless, premium connected experience across all of our next-generation devices.”

The Future of Connected Mobility

Mr. Jia and LeSEE co-founder Lei Ding punctuated the event with the grand reveal of LeEco’s EV concept, featuring groundbreaking, fully autonomous capabilities, including machine learning of facial, emotion, system, and path recognition. To pioneer this innovative technology, LeEco announced that it will be partnering with Faraday Future to fund a world-class autonomous driving research center in Silicon Valley. Additional details will be revealed by LeEco later this month at the Beijing Auto Show on April 25.

The Next Generation of Smartphones

Continuing its rapid expansion into the mobile arena, LeEco introduced its second generation of Superphones, building on the first generation’s sleek styling, high-performance design, and premium value. In addition to multiple design and feature upgrades, the new smartphones feature the world’s first USB Type-C audio with LeEco’s Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) technology to deliver true fidelity audio and lossless music experience. Other highlights include:

  • Le 2: Priced at RMB 1099 (USD $170), the Le 2 is the world’s first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor and features bezel-less industrial design and next-generation Fast Charging – all in an ultra-light, metal unibody.
  • Le 2Pro: Priced at RMB 1499 (USD $232), the Le 2Pro takes design to the next level, leveraging infinite bezel-less ID 3.0 to achieve perfect extension from screen to the body of the phone, which has gone through three rounds of anodic oxidation treatment. It also comes equipped with top-grade specs, including the MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor, reaching up to 2.5 GHz and 4GB of memory.
  • Le Max2: Priced at RMB 2099 (USD $324) and RMB 2499 (USD $386) for its two variants, the high-horsepower Le Max2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 820 processor and will support Qualcomm Sense™ ID ultrasonic fingerprint sensor technology. Its 5.7-inch 2K display is optimized for VR and features an industry-leading “6GB+64GB” configuration.

An Exceptional TV and VR Experience

LeEco’s fourth-generation SuperTV series, the X4, sets a new bar for big screen TVs with supreme performance and aesthetics. Powered by the Mstar 6A938 chip, the new TV boasts 3+ HDR, distance voice recognition and smart voice, and also features MEMC dynamic image compensation technology and what LeEco calls “double 3” – a 3GB+32GB configuration. In addition, the company revealed its latest VR helmet, the LeVR COOL1, which will use the Le Max2 2K display to minimize the screen-door effect and optimize the VR experience.
