IDC Government Insights Introduces the 2016 Federal IT Rankings

New awards program established to recognize technology vendors within the government information technology industry

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--()--IDC Government Insights today announced that the call for entries has officially begun for the 2016 Federal IT Rankings, a new industry award program that categorizes and evaluates the revenues of leading global technology and service providers within the government services industry. IDC Government Insights is categorizing and evaluating technology providers based on calendar year revenues from government institutions for hardware, software, and/or services.

Two categories of companies will be ranked:

1. Federal IT Rankings: Top 100 – vendors that derive more than one-third of their revenue from government institutions

2. Federal IT Rankings: Enterprise 25 – enterprise companies serving multiple industries that derive less than one-third of their revenues from government institutions

The IDC Government Insights Federal IT Rankings is an ongoing endeavor to establish a solid industry standard that assists both government IT managers and IT suppliers in their efforts to make the best choice for their institutions," said IDC Government Insights' Shawn McCarthy.
