For Second Year in a Row, Integrated Communications Firm Centron Named Finalist for Med Ad News Agency of the Year

Advertising, Medical Education, Public Relations, Market Access and Strategic Planning Integrated Capabilities Continue to Support Centron’s Success

NEW YORK--()--Centron, a full-service, wholly integrated communications firm, is proud to announce that the agency has been named a finalist for Med Ad News Agency of the Year in Category III (revenue of less than $25 million) for the second year in a row. Celebrating the work done in 2015, which was also the agency’s 10th anniversary year, Med Ad News highlighted the firm’s successful coordination of several significant product launches, securing new business and realignment of the operational structure.

“We are excited that so many of our clients responded so positively to our integrated model,” explained Maricia McLaughlin, CEO of Centron. “And now, to be recognized by our peers, reaffirms the way in which we support our clients, work as a team and deliver results.”

A realignment of leadership, vision and resources allowed Centron to maximize emerging opportunities. In addition to unifying four already-established and successful marketing entities under the Centron brand – Centron Advertising, Centron Medical Education, Centron Public Relations and Centron Market Access – Centron also created Centigration, a strategic planning unit.

In 2015, Centron was responsible for several successful wholly integrated product launches, including Ipsen’s Somatuline® for oncology; IBSchek blood test for irritable bowel syndrome; and Liletta®, Allergan’s IUD. New business wins included expanded relationships with Ipsen to support Dysport® for the treatment of select spasticity disorders, and with Bayer for global marketing and medical affairs support of Xofigo®. New clients included Bristol-Myers Squibb, DBV Technologies, Ariad, Celgene and Daiichi Sanyko.

“Our fully integrated approach allows Centron to work with brand teams on all levels to deliver the strategic vision needed to differentiate a drug and drive success and growth across key milestones,” added McLaughlin.

Med Ad News judging takes into account creative track record, management strength, financial performance, strategic thinking, account wins and losses, and ability to attract talent. The winners will be announced April 21 at an awards ceremony at Pier Sixty of Chelsea Piers in New York City.
