NEW YORK--()--Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the leader in home entertainment, today announced the pricing and availability for the HW-K950, the industry’s first soundbar with two rear wireless speakers featuring Dolby Atmos, and the HW-K850, the latest soundbar addition to Samsung’s next-generation audio product roster featuring this groundbreaking Dolby Atmos technology.

Slated for release early this summer, the HW-K950 and HW-K850 soundbars featuring Dolby Atmos will be available in the U.S. for $1499 and $899, respectively.

“We are thrilled to bring consumers an unmatched, immersive sound experience with our first Dolby Atmos-equipped soundbars,” said Jim Kiczek, Vice President, Samsung Electronics America Audio Group. “The HW-K950 and HW-K850 provide a next-generation home entertainment audio experience by truly coming alive to surround consumers with rich, deep, and powerful 3D sound and are the ideal systems to compliment our line of televisions.”

Samsung’s HW-K950 and HW-K850 soundbars are the company’s first to offer Dolby Atmos® Cinema Sound. As the industry’s first soundbar package to include two Dolby Atmos®-enabled wireless rear speakers, the HW-K950 delivers incredible 5.1.4-channel sound, while the flat HW-K850 makes movies and television shows come alive through its 3.1.2-channel sound. At just 2.1” high, the HW-K950’s slim and sleek design uses three forward-facing and two upwards-facing speakers to produce a rich, full sound that is big enough to fill the room, yet detailed enough to deliver realistic, cinematic sounds, from an arrow shooting across the room to a hummingbird flying overhead. Both soundbars also connect wirelessly to the subwoofer, for a practical and seamless solution in any living room. This also means that ceiling-fitted speakers are not required for moving, 3D audio.

Another audio product developed in Samsung’s state of the art Audio Lab in Valencia, California, these soundbars have been designed to deliver the most immersive audio experience available today.
