2016 IMCA Innovation Torchbearer Award Entry Period Open through May 9

Association Seeking Nominations of Exceptional Individuals or Organizations in Insurance Marketing and Communications

MINNEAPOLIS--()--The Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) is seeking nominations for its 2016 Innovation Torchbearer Award, which recognizes individuals, institutions or organizations that have demonstrated innovative ideas or initiatives in marketing and communications that have impacted the insurance industry.

“IMCA’s Innovation Torchbearer Award has become one of the insurance industry’s most prestigious honors,” said Mark Friedlander, head of corporate communications at The Main Street America Group and IMCA chairman of the board. “Every year, we receive an exceptional slate of nominees, which feature top tier organizations and individuals who have demonstrated great innovation in insurance marketing and communications, and we expect this trend to continue in 2016.”

IMCA’s Innovation Torchbearer Award was established in 2012, replacing the organization’s long-time Golden Torch Award. Past winners of the Innovation Torchbearer Award are:

  • 2015 - Insurance Information Institute (III)
  • 2014 - Swiss Re
  • 2013 - esurance, an Allstate company
  • 2012 – USAA

Nominees will be judged by a panel of IMCA board members and scored within three key areas of evaluation:

  • Overall impact of innovation on a national or international level.
  • Impact of innovation on respective insurance industry segment.
  • Degree of innovation deployed in executed creative strategy.
