Michael Madrigale, Top Sommelier, Presents 2016 Planet Bordeaux Selection

Semi-Annual Selection of 30 Red, White, Rosé, and Crémant Wines Priced Between $10-$50

NEW YORK--()--Planet Bordeaux, representing The Bordeaux & Bordeaux Supérieur AOCs Winemakers Association, announced the results of the 2016 Planet Bordeaux Selection. The tasting was led by Michael Madrigale, Head Sommelier for Bar Boulud, and ambassador for Planet Bordeaux wines in the U.S. The final selection encompasses 30 red, white, rosé, and crémant Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur AOC wines, and will be launched at various press events throughout the year in New York City.

“I feel honored to represent such a historic and respected wine region,” said Madrigale. “The sheer quality and value of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur AOCs has never been better. I think as time goes on and younger generations get involved in winemaking and grape growing, consumers are also getting better wine – thus, we need to keep sourcing and providing awareness for these high-quality, accessible, and affordable choices.”

Planet Bordeaux has worked diligently to maintain their presence in the U.S. through participating in events such as La Nuit en Rosé, and the Los Angeles International Wine Competition, to name a few. Madrigale also hosted the annual Goldmine dinner series, which took place in New York, Boston, and Washington D.C.
