SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quanergy Systems, Inc., the leading provider of LiDAR sensors and smart sensing solutions, today introduced Q-Guard, a complete LiDAR-based security system for perimeter fencing and intrusion detection. Quanergy will showcase the new security technology in Booth 9137 at ISC West, the nation’s largest security industry tradeshow, April 6-8 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.
Q-Guard comes complete with one or multiple LiDAR-based detection sensors and a perception software module for object tracking and classification. The system analyzes the object detected, tracks its movement, classifies its type to determine whether it’s human or non-human, and alerts the security agent. Q-Guard also has slew-to-queue capability to alert and guide cameras to the area of detection.
The technology is available as a stand-alone system or can be integrated with the leading video security solutions. Q-Guard complements existing camera solutions, which are often limited by range, lighting or weather conditions by detecting any potential intrusion threat within a 150 meter range, minimizing false positives and false negatives. Q-Guard enables accurate detection of objects and movements in daylight or complete darkness, and in adverse weather conditions including rain or a sandstorm.
Simulating a virtual fence, Q-Guard substantially reinforces perimeter security for critical infrastructure such as power and water stations, airports, harbors, oil refineries or any industrial premises with valuable equipment to protect from vandalism and terrorism. The technology also responds to the needs of prisons to secure their perimeters and detect any object thrown into the facility from the outside.
