University of Phoenix College of Security and Criminal Justice Deans Reappointed to Leadership Positions Within ASIS International

Academic leaders continue strategic roles within the world’s leading organization for security professionals

PHOENIX--()--University of Phoenix® College of Security and Criminal Justice today announced the reappointment of two of the college’s deans to leadership positions within ASIS International, the world’s leading security management organization. Dr. Linda Florence, CPP, vice president and dean of specialized programs, has been reappointed as the President of the ASIS Foundation Board of Trustees, a position she has held since 2013. Assistant Dean Charles Andrews, CPP, will remain the ASIS International Regional Vice President for the State of Texas, a position he was appointed to in 2012.

In 2015, ASIS International and University of Phoenix collaborated to develop and provide leading-edge, industry-aligned education and training opportunities to security professionals. The Enterprise Security Competency Model, a first of its kind, allows employers of all sizes to accurately define the core skills and competencies required for security management positions, ensuring a clear path to education, training and ultimately, competency to address 21st century security risks. The ASIS Foundation and the University of Phoenix have also worked together over the past five years to award scholarships to prospective students to pursue undergraduate or master’s degrees at University of Phoenix to help further their professional development.
