Cambridge Semantics Launches Graph-Based Products for Enterprise Big Data Discovery and Data Management

Anzo Graph Query Engine and Anzo Smart Data Manager Products Enable Flexible, Efficient and Enterprise-Wide Analytics and Data Governance

BOSTON--()--Cambridge Semantics, the leading provider of Smart Data analytic and data management solutions driven by semantic web technology, today announced the launch of its Anzo Graph Query Engine and Anzo Smart Data Manager products that are available as stand-alone products addressing specific big data analytic or data management needs. Key capabilities of these products are also integrated within Cambridge Semantics’ Anzo Smart Data Lake offering for end-to-end management of data management, data governance, data discovery and analytic needs.

Cambridge Semantics is showcasing these products, as well as its market-leading Anzo Smart Data Lake, at the Gartner Business Intelligence and Analytics Summit in Grapevine, Texas this week. The company was selected to speak and present at the “Innovative BI in Action” session as well as a “Theater in the Round” session. Representatives from the company will be available to show demos and answer questions at Booth 110 during the conference.

Cambridge Semantics’ Anzo Graph Query Engine (Anzo GQE) is a clustered, in-memory graph analytics engine based on open semantic standards that enables users to develop ad hoc and interactive queries and analytics across very large interconnected rich data sets. IT can now incrementally add compute nodes to address growing amounts of data and to improve performance.

“Semantic-based technologies are the key to making data easily understandable to both humans and computers, enabling data harmonization using common business meanings,” said Barry Zane, vice president of engineering, Cambridge Semantics. “Because our entire data model is geared around the W3C standards of RDF and SPARQL, our solutions are future-proofed compared to proprietary mechanisms for querying big data.”

Cambridge Semantics’ Anzo Smart Data Manager (Anzo SDM) allows organizations to create and maintain a single, rich repository of data assets with contextualized information. Using semantic-based mapping tools, business analysts can automatically generate data extractions and transformations without the need for a programmer or a programming environment, providing an unprecedented level of self-sufficiency while reducing costs and time to value.

“For the first time, all your data can be neatly organized using business models that the user defines, based on human-readable, standardized terms that allow you to link and contextualize information regardless of where it came from,” said Alok Prasad, president of Cambridge Semantics. “All this smart data can then be used to automatically create data extracts, ETL, and ELT jobs for quick and efficient analysis.”

The capabilities of Cambridge Semantics’ Anzo GQE and Anzo SDM can benefit any business seeking insight from big data discovery, analysis and data management, including pharma and life sciences, financial services, government agencies, and more. They also serve as powerful contributors to the Anzo Smart Data Lake Platform.
