Momentum Partners Releases Its Watch List at the 2016 RSA Conference

Momentum Partners has completed their selection of the forty companies to the firm’s annual Watch List from the 1,500+ cybersecurity companies the firm tracks globally. Input was carefully considered from Momentum’s vast network of corporate dealmakers, investors, and cybersecurity professionals in order to identify these forty companies displaying tremendous momentum.

Each quarter ten companies are selected after carefully weighing feedback from the field and considering a variety of growth and innovation factors.

The Momentum Watch List for the third quarter of 2015 included:

  • Menlo Security: cloud-based isolation technology that eliminates malware from Web and email
  • RiskIQ: external threat management platform to secure an enterprise’s digital footprint
  • SnoopWall: counterveillance software focused on maintaining privacy across all computing devices
  • Vectra: automated threat management for real-time detection of in-progress cyber attacks

Included on the Watch List is the 2016 RSA Innovation Sandbox Winner PhantomCyber and three other finalists (Bastille, Menlo Security, and ProtectWise) as well as three finalists from 2015 (Bugcrowd, Fortscale, and Vectra). Additionally, five companies have raised their next round of financing (Exabeam, Hexadite, IronNet, Nuro, and Vectra) since making the Watch List while one company has been acquired (Elastica acquired by Blue Coat for $280 million).
