NEW YORK--()--Imagine tellers walking around with tablets, using your cell phone to get cash at the ATM, or opening a checking account without a single sheet of paper. That’s coming to life later this year at Chase.

Over the coming months, Chase will begin piloting seven new digital enhancements to make banking even more convenient.

Across most of Chase’s 17,000 ATMs, customers will be able to:

  • Use their mobile phone to get cash – if they don’t have their card
  • Take out bills in multiple denominations – ones, fives, twenties and hundreds
  • Cash their check, instead of waiting on a teller line
  • Withdraw larger amounts of cash during branch hours
  • Get quicker access to deposits

Inside the branch, they will be able to:

  • Open a checking or savings account or credit card by clicking to sign -- and getting the documents through chase.com
  • Get real-time assistance at the ATM from tellers using tablets

“Customers are constantly choosing to bank when, where and how they want,” said Barry Sommers, CEO of Chase Consumer Banking. “We’re proud to lead the way in making banking more convenient than ever.”

Nearly 40 million Chase customers use its digital channels regularly and they’re making more transactions at ATMs than at the teller window.

Chase showcased this new technology at its annual Investor Day in New York this week. Visit @Chase on Twitter or go to Chase.com/wayyoubank to learn more about Chase’s digital offerings.
