REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--()--Rocket Fuel (NASDAQ: FUEL), a leading Programmatic Marketing Platform provider, today announced the appointment of Ben Saitz as its first-ever chief customer officer (CCO). Rocket Fuel created this new C-level executive position as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to put customers at the heart of its business and continue transforming its go-to-market capabilities. In this role, Saitz will lead all post-sales functions, ensuring Rocket Fuel’s customers get the most value from its products and services.

Formerly at DoubleClick, Google, and Medallia, a global leader in Customer Experience Management (CEM), Saitz is an accomplished CEM executive with deep expertise in ad tech and Software as a Service (SaaS):

  • At DoubleClick, achieved and sustained world-class customer satisfaction rates, peaking at over 95%
  • Created new revenue streams for Google’s Analytics business by expanding it beyond a free offering to a paid-for premium service
  • While at Medallia, helped achieve outstanding results for such brands as Delta and Tommy Bahama, and drove high retention rates for the firm, transformed operations, while significantly improving service revenue from new and existing accounts

Adding Saitz builds on the company’s efforts to transform its go-to-market capabilities, which began with reinvigorating its sales team in FY 2105 and continued in January with the appointment of Eric Duerr as Chief Marketing Officer and Kevin Ferguson as Vice President of Enterprise Sales. With a strong customer leader in place, the company is well poised to apply the executional rigor and operational discipline needed to continue executing against its strategic goals.

“Rocket Fuel has the best technology out there, and building a more customer-centric company will allow customers to fully grasp and experience the value of what Rocket Fuel can do for them,” said Saitz. “Having spent time in the agency, publisher ad network and ad tech worlds, I believe my experience will offer critical insights about Rocket Fuel’s key customer constituents. I’m excited to take that customer knowledge and operationalize the customer’s voice across Rocket Fuel.”

“Ben is a powerful addition to our executive team as we continue becoming a more ‘outside-in’ company, putting our customers first in everything we do,” said Randy Wootton, CEO of Rocket Fuel. “Ben knows our customer segments and knows the playbook for driving the kind of executional rigor that will allow us to continually delight our customers.”
