SAN DIEGO--()--Pulse Electronics Corporation’s new Monarch Series multi-mode global navigation satellite system ceramic antennas provide wireless signal reception for the four major global and regional satellite systems: GPS, GLONASS, Beidou (Compass), and Galileo. The Monarch Series W3010 is a compact, low profile antenna that delivers high efficiency (75% typical) over a wide bandwidth for enhanced navigation and device tracking. With its profile of 3.2x10x2mm, low weight of 310mg, and VSWR of less than 1.6:1, the Monarch Series fits antenna requirements for items such as portable personal navigation devices, asset tracking equipment, mobile hot spots, mobile point-of-sale terminals, digital walkie-talkies, vehicle data recorders and video systems, public safety devices, telematics equipment, and Internet of Things devices.

“Our Monarch Series antenna enables satellite system receivers that pinpoint the geographic location of a user's device anywhere in the world,” said Olivier Robin, general manager for Pulse Electronics Wireless Infrastructure business unit. “This ceramic antenna supports a frequency bandwidth from 1560MHz to 1610MHz, a wider range than other small form factor antennas. By using that antenna bandwidth to lock onto not only multiple satellites within a given system, but also multiple satellite systems, our customers can provide more precise and reliable positioning from their electronic devices.”

Pulse Electronics’ Monarch performs best when used in an edge-mount placement with a ground clearance of 10.80x6.25mm on an 80x37mm device. Two symmetrical soldering pads act as either feed or ground contacts. The antennas come in tape and reel packaging and are lead-free and RoHS compliant.
