SMK-Link Electronics Introduces TAA Compliant PC Keyboards, Mice and Card Readers at CES 2016

LAS VEGAS--()--SMK-Link Electronics, a subsidiary of SMK Electronics Corporation U.S.A. is introducing a new family of Trade Agreements Act compliant computer peripherals at International CES 2016. SMK-Link’s new VP3800 Series, which includes TAA Compliant PC keyboards, mice and smart card readers, is being featured this week at CES16 (booth #20400, South Hall-1, LVCC).

“With so many computer products manufactured in China, it has become increasingly difficult for companies to find stand-alone TAA compliant PC peripherals,” said John Blair, General Manager of Branded Products for SMK-Link Electronics. “Supporting the fulfillment of GSA orders for PC keyboards, mice and card readers, our new VP3800 Series gives federal agencies, the military and their suppliers, quality PC input devices certified to be TAA Compliant, and supported by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.”

As mandated by the U.S. Trade Agreement Act, government agencies and affiliated entities with federal contracts are required to purchase only “end products” manufactured (or substantially transformed) within the United States or other TAA designated countries. Products so provided must be accompanied by a certification of compliance from the supplier. Meeting these requirements, SMK-Link’s new VP3800 input device series joins the company’s growing family of TAA Compliant solutions, including RemotePoint® Professional Presentation Remote Controls and Gyration® Air Mouse® products.

ISO7816 certified, the VP3805, which supports Home Banking (HBCI), Card Terminal (CT/API) and Common Access Card (CAC) applications, is designed for federal agencies, the Department of Defense (DoD), and other organizations using card-key security/access applications.
