Asana BioSciences Appoints Dr. Kapil Dhingra to its Oncology Scientific Advisory Board

BRIDGEWATER, N.J.--()--Asana BioSciences, LLC today announced that Kapil Dhingra, M.D., has been appointed to its oncology scientific advisory board (SAB). Dr. Dhingra is the former head of Roche Oncology Clinical Development and the founder of KAPital Consulting, LLC.

Dr. Dhingra is an accomplished medical oncologist and physician-scientist. He received his medical training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, followed by an internal medicine residency at Lincoln Medical Center, New York and a hematology-oncology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1989, he joined the faculty of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where he pursued laboratory and clinical cancer research, in addition to his direct patient care responsibilities. Dr. Dhingra later joined Eli Lilly and Company as clinical research physician. From 1999 to 2008, he worked at Hoffmann-La Roche, where he served in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as vice president, head of the Oncology Disease Biology Leadership team and head of Oncology Clinical Development. He serves on scientific/clinical advisory boards as well as boards of directors of a number of companies and non-profit organizations. He presently serves on the boards of Exosome Diagnostics as chairman of the board, Advanced Accelerator Applications (NASDAQ- listed), Five Prime (NASDAQ-listed) and Autolus in London, U.K. He previously served on the boards of Biovex, Micromet, YM Biosciences, Algeta and Epitherapeutics, which were all acquired by major pharmaceutical companies such as Amgen, Bayer and Gilead. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications and abstracts.
