GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Underserved children across America will have access to a free well-care screening during their next pediatrician visit thanks to a humanitarian partnership between Envision Healthcare (NYSE:EVHC) (Envision), Pager and Children’s Health Fund.
Beginning today, in support of National Influenza Vaccination Awareness Week, Pager and Envision, which together comprise the nation's leading on-demand healthcare provider, are offering up to 5,000 free flu shots in six major U.S. cities both through Pager’s mobile app as well as through local community services. For each vaccination delivered, Pager Cares, Pager’s charitable division launching in tandem with the initiative, will provide one healthcare screening to underserved children across the country through the Children’s Health Fund’s national fleet of mobile medical units.
Pager Cares will use innovative technology to disseminate flu shots delivered by medical professionals from Envision Healthcare in New York, Dallas, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and San Diego.
At-risk groups often face the greatest healthcare threats due to lack of access to healthcare providers, medicine and treatment programs. Utilizing Pager’s customized patient-centric care model, this initiative will influence better public health outcomes for all, according to Gaspard de Dreuzy, founder and CEO of Pager.

Pager Cares’ initial launch taking place this week will focus on three primary programs:
- Free Flu Shots in Six Cities: Flu shots will be available for free via the Pager app in six cities, all week long. These cities are New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Dallas, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.
- Healthcare Visits for Kids in Need: For every shot Pager and Envision deliver next week, Pager Cares will furnish a child in need with a screening as part of their next healthcare provider visit via Children's Health Fund.
- Flu Clinics at Community Centers: In our six cities, Pager and Envision will also run free flu shot clinics at schools, homeless shelters and community centers throughout next week for those in need.
